Depart from your hotel in the early morning and enjoy a short 30–45 minute drive to Taudaha Lake, one of the Kathmandu Valley's most accessible birdwatching sites. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a brief introduction to the lake's wetland ecosystem before setting up birdwatching equipment and beginning a leisurely walk around the lakeshore. Taudaha attracts a variety of resident and migratory waterbirds throughout the year, making it an excellent destination for both beginner and experienced birdwatchers. Possible sightings include the Common Kingfisher, Eurasian Coot, Little Egret, Great Cormorant, Gadwall, Mallard, and wetland species depending on the season. After a rewarding morning of birdwatching and nature photography, return to your hotel in Kathmandu, concluding your birding excursion.
